FAQ

How a season works, what the two currencies are, and where to write if you are stuck.

What is PitchLord?

You run a club in Nigeria. You pick the squad, the tactics, the training and the transfers. Matches play themselves, and the table decides who goes up.

How do I start?

Create an account, then one club. New clubs join the first Division 3 room with space, and empty places are filled with bot clubs so the season can begin. You start with 10 diamonds and 2,000,000 coins.

When do matches kick off?

A room holds 16 clubs. Each one plays every other club home and away, which is 30 matchdays. Kickoffs fall between 18:00 and 21:00 West Africa Time. Once a match starts, it plays out in 3 minutes with live commentary.

Who goes up, and who goes down?

The top three climb a division, unless the room is already Division 1. The bottom three drop, unless it is Division 3. The final table stays up for 24 hours, then clubs move into next season's rooms.

What is the difference between coins and diamonds?

Coins pay for transfers and stadium work, and they belong to this league. When the next season starts they reset to that division's grant: 2,000,000 in Division 3, 5,000,000 in Division 2 and 10,000,000 in Division 1. Diamonds stay. One diamond converts into 50,000 coins, and those coins reset with the rest.

How does the transfer market work?

Keep between 18 and 30 players. List one of your own, or sign a free agent from your room. A listing stays up for 48 hours, and any player signed from the market must stay with you for 7 days before he can be listed again. The market closes for the last two matchdays, because the coin balance resets with the next league.

How does the stadium earn money?

Each home match pays a fixed amount for your stadium's level. Upgrades cost coins and take time, and diamonds can finish one early. If you are relegated, the gate is capped at what that division's biggest ground pays until you come back up.

What can I train?

Train a player's overall, or teach a neighbouring position. A second position takes 7 days. Goalkeepers cannot learn another one. Diamonds can finish a position session early.

When do players retire?

Players have a birthday and get a year older on that day. Somewhere between 35 and 40 a player can retire when the next season starts. His last season is marked Retiring, and he plays on until then.
